BY FAR, my favorite book, I can take that book, curl up with it and read it with in an hour, what's worse is my boyfriend will cover the book with his hand, and I'll start from the line I stopped at, and just say the part he's covering word for word out loud. HEHE!! I think I've read it WAY to many times.
Dragon's Bait is the first book by Vivian Vande Velde that I ever read, and I absolutely loved it. I notice a pattern with her writing now, that makes it appealing to me - she has a strong, interesting plot, but almost subtle romance flowing through it, so at the end, when the conflict is resolved, I just want to know how the relationship ends up turning out. I love that book.
Oh me to... I so want to know if they got together... I think they did, I'm not sure how they would do it... but I REALLY hope they did, another good one from her is Companions of the Night. It's the first one I read of her's and I just LOVED it so much! If you like vampires, you'll like this one.
Is it just me, or is it almost guaranteed that, after Dragon's Bait takes place, they're going to end up together? I mean, she has nowhere else to go, pretty much, and she's at the very least become incredibly close friends - I want to say that they're madly in love with each other, but that would be rushing things. And he's offered to let her live with him.
Oh I know, I think they fall in love, at least I want to think that. It'd be soo romantic. I think they would get along well, he's putting trust in her that she wouldn't turn on him, and stuff like that.

V.V.V. leaves a similar feeling in Heir Apparent, but there are so many things that separate the Dragon Bait characters to stop anything from happening.
